Almost since the invention of the video game there has been a way to enter a video game cheat code. Anyone who has played Contra on Nintendo can probably recite the cheat code for unlimited life. It is ok that you just recited the code in your head! These are the types of video game cheat codes that are available — unlimited health, unlimited ammo, unlocking hidden levels and even ways to skip levels.
Evolution of Video Game Cheats
At first these cheats had to be entered into the game before game play began or with a special cartridge, such as Game Genie. There were also video game cheats that needed to be discovered within the game play, sometimes you were given hints and sometimes you discovered them by accident. Either way they changed the way the game was played. Now cheats are more interactive and are considered more like bonuses than actual cheats, they may ask you to enter a code or you may be rewarded. There has always been a certain order. In which these cheats can be used and game creators have embraced the effort of game players to hunt for the cheats.
Where Are the Cheats
There are many websites, magazines, and published guides available to game players. The off line guides can be found at gaming stores, department stores, and even some video stores that rent video games. You can even subscribe to magazines that provide the cheats for the most recent games and some of the classics. Websites number in the hundreds if not thousands; some are dedicated to specific games while others cover a broad range of games and systems.
While searching for these video game cheats the only thing to be cautious of is that you have the correct game system. Different codes are setup for different systems based on the system setup.
Now that you have the video games cheats go and beat that game!
Sora’s Ultima Weapon
Sora’s Ultima Weapon is obtained through item synthesis. Once you have obtained seven Orichalcum+s and the other ingredients, you will be able to synthesize it if you have an Energy Crystal. Note: You must be at least a level 2 Moogle to use energy items (for example, shards, stones, gems, and crystals). The items required are as follows:
Ultimate Recipe
Go to the mansion in Twilight Town. This is towards the end of the game when you go with Sora. Once the machine is up and running to go to Roxas’s Twilight Town, do not enter it. Instead, go through the other room where you went to fight Axel with Roxas at the start of the game. Then, go into the next room with the hallway with the pods where Goofy and Donald were found. There are a few chests in there; the Ultimate Recipe is the in the chest next to Donald and Goofy’s pod.
Seven Orichalcum+
1. Clear Atlantica.
2. Clear 100 Acre Wood.
3. Find the chest in The World That Never Was at the Brink Of Despair just before you go into the castle. There will be a big chest next to the save point. This is not the Orichalcum+. Turn around at this location and follow the short path across from the save point with the Orichalcum+ chest.
4. Clear Goddess Of Fate Cup in the Underworld Coliseum.
5. Chest in Twilight Town, in Sunset Terrace where you went earlier in the game for the Seven Wonders. Jump on top of the train and you will see a chest on the roof of the big building (the one closest to to the sunset station).
6. Chest in Space Paranoids during the second visit there, just before you fight Commander Sark and the MCP.
7. Collect all Material in the game and give it to the Synthesis Moogle. He will give you an Orichalcum+. You need every single Material (shards, stones, gems, and crystals, including a regular Orichalcum).
Other ingredients
Energy Crystal: Required to halve the amount of Orichalcum+s you need. Dropped by Bookmasters in Radiant Gardens (Hollow Bastion) near Merlin’s house. These are the characters that float with green hats and books.
Twilight and Dense Crystals: Nobodies on Naught’s Skyway. Go to naught’s skyway just after the Hall Of Empty Melodies. Fight the Nobodies there and they will drop Twilight and Dense items.
Serenity Crystals: You can get these from the Moogles for giving them complete sets of Materials.
Mythril Crystals: Found in random item chests.

What makes an RPG one of the most anticipated of 2011? Some of these games have been waited for with baited-breath for many years. For others, it hasn’t been long since we heard news of the impending releases. Between these varied time expanses, a desire has been developed to experience the game word, game play and more. The wait is almost unbearable. The promise, and eventually fulfillment, of all your gaming needs is what makes a role-playing game one of the most anticipated of the upcoming year.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the follow up game to the 2006 game of the year, Oblivion. Bethesda has created Skyrim with a brand new engine and promises that it will feel like it’s on a next generation system. These may seem like grandiose boasts if you are new to Bethesda. For those who have experience Bethesda’s previous games, it shouldn’t come as a surprise when a groundbreaking game is released.
Diablo III
The release of Diablo III has been eagerly awaited since the release of Diablo II in the summer of 2000. A decade in the making, Diablo III seems like it has been in production indefinitely. While this may seem like an eternity, this shouldn’t be much of a shock to anyone who is familiar with Blizzard Entertainment. Perfection simply isn’t good enough for Blizzard. While the fans may gripe about the long turnaround time between games, they rave about the quality. Now there is finally an estimated release time for the long-awaited Diablo III and it’s at the end of 2011.
Mass Effect 3
The first two Mass Effect games were phenomenal. They made major graphical advancements on facial animations, combined with awesome game play and an awe-inspiring story. Mass Effect 3 promises to continue where the second game left off. You will again be playing as Commander Shepherd in the final battle to save the universe. Bioware’s thrilling story will come to an end with Mass Effect 3. If the game is anything like its predecessors, it will be amazing.
Dragon Age 2
Dragon Age: Origins brought back the game play of Baldur’s gate and mixed it with a bloody and visceral style. However, it seemed to lack a bit of the Baldur’s gate charm. Dragon Age 2 aims to fix some of the shortcomings of the first game and improve on the already awesome game play. Those who enjoyed Dragon Age: Origins are counting down the days to this games release in early March.
Star Wars: The Old Republic
It seems that anything Bioware stamps its name on ends up being an amazing game. Their first attempt at an MMORPG happens to be the highly anticipated game Star Wars: The Old Republic. This RPG is highly anticipated for several reasons. First you have the Star Wars franchise. Anything with a Star Wars title is going to be watched closely. Secondly, Bioware is known for making great games. The combination of the two should be phenomenal.
There’s not a popular computer game in the world that hasn’t spawned an industry identifying so-called cheats that let players get ahead. EverQuest, one of the world’s most popular MMORPGs, is no different: EverQuest cheats abound in the gaming literature. Whether you want to use EverQuest cheats is up to you, but when you’re stuck in a shaky situation or just can’t seem to get ahead no matter what you do, they can be undeniably attractive.
EverQuest cheats: cheating, or not?
You might think that “cheat” means cheating, but it ain’t necessarily so. In the gaming world, “cheat” refers to any way to get ahead aside from standard hack-and-slash game play; special strategies, built-in “Easter Egg” codes, and exploits of known bugs are all clumped under the term. EverQuest cheats are no different. Though admittedly many EverQuest cheats are “illegal” in game play, not all are. For example, the practice of using real-world money to buy in-game currency is one of the most widespread of the purported EverQuest cheats. Though some believe it’s contrary to the spirit of the game, it’s accepted practice, and Sony even encourages it. On the other hand, some EverQuest cheats, especially those that let you duplicate money or objects, are not only illegal, they could get your account deleted for good.
Climbing the EverQuest ladder
Most EverQuest cheats involve increasing your money and experience points. This makes sense, because in any EQ scenario, you’ll require both to advance in level and purchase snazzy new equipment. EverQuest cheats are easy to find on the Internet and in magazines; you can even subscribe to compilations that are updated on a weekly or monthly basis. How and if you use cheats is up to you, but choose your EverQuest cheats carefully! What’s the point of building a 50th Level Paladin if it gets deleted for cheating?
Back in the days when only Cpt. Kirk and NASA had computers role play games where played very differently from the way most experience them today in the Internet age. This genre of hobby was the purview of the kitchen table and the local hobby shop; a universe in which the monsters and heroes found their courage flowing from uniquely numbered dice and the pages of a book. In the beginning Role Play Games or RPG’s refereed to any game in which the participants assume roles, often as fantasy characters in a scenario that develops as the game progresses. The first widely known game Dungeons & Dragons originally by E. Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, first published in 1974 by TSR was set in a mythical medieval world. Since then the genre has grown to encompass a wide variety of games that take place in an endless number of settings future, past, and present that have a similar means of play.
The basic aspects of what makes up an RPG can best be described by braking down the different game elements. The first is the “game world or universe” and comprises the physical aspects, realities and relative era in which the game takes place. Each RPG game exists in its own universe where certain unique realities govern the various scenarios in the games scope. The second is “game mechanics” and refers to the system of rules and die rolls used to determine the outcome of player actions. Most RPG games have a similar approach to game mechanics as far as die rolls but vary widely in player character options. The third is the game scenario which is usually made up of a back story, location information, and lists of hazards and treasures relative to the adventure being undertaken by the players. There is generally a goal to any given scenario to give the players a rational for undertaking the hazards involved.
Tabletop Role Play Games (sometimes referred to a pen and dice RPG’s) are universally run by a moderator often referred to as the game master who is both the administrator of game rules (who must possess copies of the rules texts) and a story teller. The game master takes on multiple roles playing (acting out) the parts of the characters and monsters that players encounter in the adventure. The game master will utilize scenario texts to describe the scenes to the players keeping certain information confidential until the players actions warrant discovery. This can best be illustrated by a simple scenario where there is a room that contains a secret (hidden) closet that contains an item of value. The game master would describe every detail of the room as the players enter but not reveal the hidden closet until the players actively search for it; and then only if die rolls (as required by game mechanics) indicate they have found it. It is not the game master’s job to trick the players or engage in adversarial play rather it is their job to utilize scenario texts to lead the players on an adventure.
The players of an RPG take on different persona’s based on possibilities presented by the game universe. In most games they have the choice of playing mythical creatures such as elves, dwarfs, or humans who possess skills such as sorcerers, thieves, or warriors. The players, utilizing the game rules, create player characters using die rolls to determine specific physical attributes such as strength, intelligence, magical ability etc. They then equip these characters with basic clothing, armor, and weapons as well as provisions and tools in preparation for upcoming adventures. The goal of the player in any RPG is to advance their character in ability and wealth through the undertaking of hazardous quests. The same player character will usually have many adventures in many different scenarios within a given game universe becoming more able to face greater challenges for greater reward as time goes by. It is quite common for players to identify with their characters as they become experienced through continuous game play. Over time players and game masters become ever better at the role playing aspect (acting out your character) which in turn makes the games an ever more immersive experience.
The appeal of tabletop RPG’s is both escapism and social interaction with a group of like-minded friends. Unlike the on-line versions the tabletop RPG gamer comes together with friends and family on a regular basis to experience adventures in strange magical lands. Many groups dress up in costumes or meet in a special room they have decorated to set the mood. Still may more simply game at the kitchen table till the wee hours of the morning battling dragons, saving the universe or unlocking the ancient secrets of fantastic treasures.
